Pre-Primary School
± Ages 4 - 6

Pre-Primary School (± AGES 4-6)

Stages R – RRR

4 – 6 Years of Age (±2)

Our Pre-Primary School welcomes lively, inquisitive and giggling toddlers between the ages of 4 and 6 years of age. Our friendly and homelike environment allows for safe exploration within a structured environment.

Our combined and integrated curriculum allows for development in all areas towards learning and life readiness.

The Pre-Primary School runs over 3 stages (stage RRR, RR and R) and learners are placed according to their age and level of development.

4 – 6 Years of Age (±2)

Mainstream Pre-Schoolers

Pre-Schoolers with mild neuro-developmental delays requiring assisted learning.

Learners in the Pre-Primary School are between the ages of 4 and 6 / (8) years. Due to possible developmental delays, we allow for a 2 year developmental gap and thus accommodate learners up to the age of 7 in our Pre-Primary School.

We mostly accommodate learners who are eager to learn in preparation for entering “the BIG school”, but we are comfortable to assist those learners not yet as enthusiastic and in need of more assistance and support. We recognise and support individuality and the notion that not all round pegs like square holes.

Pre-Primary School Curriculum

Basic Literacy
Basic Numeracy
Sensorial Programme
Perceptual Programme
Integrated Theme Based Curriculum
Montessori Aspects
Life & Social Skills

As preparatory phase for more formal academic work, we recognise the importance of perceptual development, movement and a sense of adventure.

Even though we have a structured environment, we allow for exploration of the themes within a brain-based approach to our Integrative Theme Based Curriculum. This curriculum addresses foundational Literacy, Numeracy, Sensorial Stimulation and Practical Life.

We place a strong emphasis on neuro-development as this is a optimal phase for development and growth.

Curriculum Weight

iDevelop: 60%

TheraEd our unique integrated therapeutic educational approach allows us to individualise programmes for each child, allowing them to develop optimally.
